Real Estate Investment Finance: the REIF Seminar Day 2018

Students and alumni from the Real Estate Invetsment Finance (REIF) programme were invited to attend the 2018 REIF Seminar Day which was held on 21 June. The day was based at Oxford Brookes and streamed live across the world. As well as watching the live stream, REIF students were able to interact with the presenters using a virtual classroom.

The following presentations were made:

Henry Chin, Head of Research (Asia Pacific) at CBRE and Visiting Professor at Oxford Brookes spoke about the Property Market Outlook in the Asia Pacific (APAC)
Ramin Keivani, Professor of International Land Policy and Urban Development at Oxford Brookes University gave a presentation about International Development and Property Markets
Richard Grover, Senior Lecturer at Oxford Brookes talked about 'Using Due Diligence to Prevent Financial Embarassment'
Emma Wragg, Senior Lecturer at Oxford Brookes gave a presentation about Institutional Investment in Affordable Housing Markets in Africa
Gerard Dericks, Senior Lecturer in Real Estate Economics and Finance at Oxford Brookes talked about 'How Starchitects Game London's Planning System'

The audience (about 35 students and alumni) watched and participated in the seminar from France, the UK, Kenya, the UAE, Dubai, Saint Lucia, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Russia and Zimbabwe. Some of those taking part sent us a photo...
