Wednesday 29 May started with an orientation tour of Madrid with Geoff (Keogh) and featured a number of visits and presentations. First stop:
Madrid Xanadu for a visit and presentation on shopping centre management and marketing given by Isabel Perez (
Ivanhoe Cambridge).
This was followed by a visit to
Via Norte Business Park where the students were taken on a tour and given a presentation on investment, management and marketing by Ignacio Frias Leal (
Metrovacesa).

The students moved on to
Alcala de Henares, a city to the north-east of Madrid, the centre of which is a World Heritage Site, where they had lunch and attended a presentation at the historic
Universidad de Alcala. The presentation was given by Federico Pablo (Universidad de Alcala) and focused on the economy of Madrid - the real estate context. Students and staff also enjoyed a tour of the university.

On Thursday 30 May the students visited a number of key office and retail areas in the morning and spent the rest of the day preparing for the 'client presentations' in the afternoon.

After the presentations, students and staff went out for a meal to celebrate the end of the trip where there were a few more presentations. Most of the students stayed on to enjoy the weekend in Madrid.
