The evening started at 6.30pm with a champagne reception. Just before 8pm everyone took their seats and enjoyed a welcome from James Bircumshaw, Vice-President of OBREMS, who works at Savills and introduced Georgia Eckert, President of OBREMS, who works at Jones Norris Adams. This year 2015 marked a transition for OBREMS with a new team taking over the reins and a relaunched OBREMS website.

Then the meal started with olive oil poached salmon, wasabi sushi rice, sake infused cucumber and watermelon with a Japanese dressing. The main course was slow cooked lamb, beans, mushrooms and baby veg stew. The meal was rounded off with warm raspberry financier (aka French sponge cake) with cinnamon jelly, raspberry gel and a raspberry ju. A mixed cheese board, port and coffee rounded things off. The wine flowed.
This year OBREMS had some amazing prizes for the raffle draw and everyone got into the swing of things on the dancefloor with Backbeatvillage - a five piece jazz band.
This year, alumni from as far back as 1978 attended the dinner - back in the days when Oxford Brookes University was Oxford Polytechnic.
